For our ambient device we have created a new PH detector for public swimming pools, because at the moment the technology for testing pool ph is quite primitive, abd when the life guards test it, it takes there eyes off the people in the pool, our device uses colour to show the ph, pink being good. when yellow the orb flashes to tell people that the levels are too acidic, and it also flashes red when the water is too alkaline. we created an orb so that it is safe in the water as it has no sharp edges. We also created an orb that shows colour to make the pool a relaxing and the water will glow pink. I think we met the brief with this project, as we feel our design is definatly a ambient device.
